Sohni Dharti Forum Celebrates Seerat-un-Nabi and Pakistan Defence Day

Sohni Dharti Forum organized a graceful and memorable event on September 6 at the Ballroom, Al Waha Club, Al-Khor Community, to commemorate Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and Pakistan Defence Day. The occasion brought together around 300 guests, including families and children, who celebrated with patriotic fervor and religious devotion, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy.
More than 50 children actively participated in the program through tableaus, speeches, and Milli Naghma, showcasing their talent, enthusiasm, and love for both their faith and homeland. The performances highlighted not only creativity but also the younger generation’s understanding of the values of Islam and the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The event was graced by eminent personalities, including:
• Usama Idrees, Community Welfare Attaché, Embassy of Pakistan, Qatar
• Squadron Leader Tanveer, Pakistan Air Force
• Lt. Naveed, Pakistan Navy
• Capt. Akbar, Pakistan Army
• Community leaders and journalists such as Ch. Ajmal, Israr Malazi, Hafeezullah, Rana Shakeel Anjum, Liaqat Malik (Journalist), Iqbal Butt, Qaisar Anwar, Muhammad Idrees, and Saif Hashmi.
The program was beautifully hosted by young children including Abdullah Abban, Messam Hussain, Umair Abdullah, Syed Yahya Wajahat, Hooria Sarwar, Ayan Arif, Rayyan Arif, Mohammad Mohsin, Muhammad Rayyan, Saifullah, Khadija Asadullah, Huria, and Umaima Khayyam.
Inspiring speeches were delivered by participants such as Abdul Ahad, Ayesha Adil, Ayan Arif, Hoorain, Messam Hussain, Eshal Fatima, Muhammad Muneeb ur Rehman, Mueez, and Rayyan Arif, who spoke passionately about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the significance of following his teachings, and the courage and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The audience was captivated by soulful performances, including Qasida presentations, the Dil Se Pakistan tableau, Yun Pakistan Bana Tha tableau, and patriotic Milli Naghma. All participating children received gift hampers as a token of appreciation.
Adding to the community spirit, Junior Cricket Tournament (SD-PCL-3) shirts and the trophy were unveiled by Zafar Chandio, Sports Secretary Sohni Dharti, reflecting children’s engagement in sports and community activities.
The event was efficiently organized by Sohni Dharti Forum. Mr. Masood U Din welcomed the guests alongside Cultural Secretary Mr. Umar Irshad. General Secretary Mohsin Ali formally opened the program, and President Umar Khayam addressed the audience. Gulzar Hussain, Vice President, and Zafar Chandio, Sports Coordinator, played key roles in logistics and arrangements. Media Secretary Javaid Alvi extensively covered the event, capturing memorable moments. Special thanks were given to Mrs. Umar Khayyam and Mrs. Anwar Ali Rana for preparing the children’s performances on short notice.
Chairman Mr. Anwar Ali Rana delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of following the teachings of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and remembering the valor of Pakistan’s armed forces. He thanked all guests, families, and children for their active participation and praised the organizing committee for ensuring a smooth and successful program.
Chief Guest Usama Idrees appreciated the children’s performances, acknowledged the forum’s services, and assured continued support from the Pakistan Embassy.
The evening concluded with a lavish dinner, allowing families and community members to celebrate unity, faith, and patriotism in a warm and joyous atmosphere, reinforcing the strong bonds within Qatar’s Pakistani community.
