Brussels, September 09 (QNA) – The European Union on Tuesday slammed the attack launched by the Israeli entity on a residential building in Doha, affirming that it constitutes a violation of international law and the territorial integrity of the State of Qatar.
In a post on platform X, the European External Action Service warned that the attack could lead to further escalation of violence in the region.
The European Union expressed its full solidarity with the authorities and people of Qatar, a key strategic partner of the Union, stressing the need to avoid any escalation in the war on Gaza, which serves no party’s interest.
The Union reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza.
In the same context, Spokesperson for the European Commission for Foreign Affairs Anouar El Anouni stated that the Israeli attacks on Hamas leaders in Doha constitute a serious violation of international law and the territorial integrity of Qatar.
