New York/Istanbul, September 24 (QNA/AA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described his recent meeting on Gaza with US President Donald Trump and regional leaders as “very productive and positive,” expressing optimism about its outcomes.
Speaking outside the Turkevi Center in New York City during the 80th UN General Assembly, President Erdogan said, “We have just concluded a very, very productive and positive meeting. I’m satisfied — may the outcome be beneficial.”
The discussions took place at the regional meeting on Gaza at the UN headquarters, focusing on efforts to achieve peace and protect innocent civilians in the conflict-stricken region.
When asked about tangible steps toward peace, President Erdogan indicated that a joint declaration would be released soon. “The final declaration will likely be announced shortly. With statements from President Trump and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the outcome of tonight’s meeting will be made clear,” he added.
The meeting underscored Turkey’s commitment to regional dialogue and international cooperation, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts among global and regional leaders to address humanitarian challenges and promote stability in Gaza.
