The seventh edition of the Sohni Dharti Volleyball Tournament began on October 2 at the Alwaha Club volleyball court. The event was inaugurated by Sohni Dharti Chairman Anwar Ali Rana, Sports Secretary Zafar Chandiao, President Umer Khayyam, General Secretary Mohsin Ali, and Media Secretary Javed Alvi.
In his remarks, Chairman Anwar Ali Rana emphasized the importance of sports in promoting health and friendship, encouraging players to compete with spirit while avoiding injuries. Sports Secretary Zafar Chandiao welcomed participants, praised their enthusiasm, and assured them of quality facilities. This year’s tournament features high-quality kits for all teams, hydration arrangements, and for the first time, neutral referees to ensure fair play.
Rana also expressed gratitude to Naseem Healthcare for sponsoring refreshments at the opening and final ceremonies and for extending special discounts to Sohni Dharti members.
Five teams with 70 players are participating: Punjab Six Pack led by Mohsin Ali, Sindh Hitmen by Asif Waseer, KPK Smashers by Muhammad Imran Juny, Balochistan Safe Sets by Qamar ul Hassan, and Kashmir Net Masters by Imran Khan Khattak. Muhammad Faisal serves as the tournament’s brand ambassador.
The competition includes 23 matches, with the final set for October 17.
