Anjuman Muhibban Urdu Hind Qatar Holds Condolence Gathering
A solemn and heartfelt condolence gathering was organized by Anjuman Muhibban Urdu Hind Qatar on September 26, 2025, at Hotel IBIS to pay tribute to its late Patron-in-Chief, Mr. Hassan Abdul Karim Chougle.

The meeting was chaired by the Anjuman’s founder, Mr. Ibrahim Khan Kamal, and graced by esteemed guests Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman Nadvi, a noted literary personality and Mr. Muhammad Atiq, Chairman of Majlis Farough e Urdu.

Mr. Aziz Nabil, General Secretary of the Anjuman, opened the event by articulating its purpose and sharing touching personal anecdotes about Mr. Chougle.

The session began with a Quran recitation by Qari Shams-ur-Rehman, followed by a biographical presentation by Mr. Niaz Ahmed Azmi, who outlined Mr. Chougle’s inspiring journey—from his early days as an engineer in Qatar to founding Emad Electricals Company, and later establishing prominent educational institutions like Indian Ideal School and Delhi Public School (DPS) in Qatar.

Several prominent community leaders, writers, and businessmen paid glowing tributes to Mr. Chougle, lauding his lifelong commitment to education, literature, and social service. Many noted that his vast contributions to society could hardly be captured in a single session.

In a significant announcement, Anjuman President Mr. Nadeem Mahir revealed plans to publish a commemorative book honoring Mr. Chougle’s life and legacy. Members and well-wishers were invited to contribute their memories and reflections for inclusion.

The gathering concluded with prayers for the departed soul, remembering Mr. Chougle not only as a successful entrepreneur but as a visionary leader and a beacon of hope and guidance for the community.
