Doha, Qatar – 7 October 2025: Msheireb Properties, Qatar’s leading sustainable real estate developer, has once again received the RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety, marking the fourth time the company has earned this prestigious honour, following awards in 2024, 2018, and 2017.
Presented by the internationally renowned Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the award highlights the company’s continued attention to maintaining safe, well-managed environments across its developments.
Speaking on the latest achievement, Eng. Faisal Al-Malki, Chief Operating Officer at Msheireb Properties, stated: “Being recognised with the RoSPA Gold Award for the fourth time showcases the consistent efforts of Msheireb Properties to prioritise safety in every aspect of our work. This achievement belongs to every member of our team who ensures that safety is at the heart of what we do. We view this award as part of our everyday responsibility, and not something we aim for once, but a principle embedded in our way of working – from planning to operations, and the way we design our community spaces.”
“Receiving this award shows the importance we place on health and safety in every aspect of our work. We will keep on upholding high standards of risk management and accident prevention and continue working to raise the bar across all our developments,” he added.
The RoSPA Awards are internationally recognised and attract thousands of entries each year from organisations across a wide range of sectors. Achieving the Gold Award for a fourth time places Msheireb Properties among the global leaders in health and safety management. The award not only acknowledges the company’s performance but also aligns it with a tradition that prioritises safety, individual well-being, and consistently high standards.
According to RoSPA, receiving one of its awards not only acknowledges organisational achievement but also signifies inclusion in a legacy that values high standards of safety, the welfare of individuals, and consistent delivery of high standards.
The recognition is the result of structured procedures, regular audits, comprehensive training programmes, and the use of digital monitoring systems to support health and safety at every stage of operations. These efforts are fully entrenched into the day-to-day workings of Msheireb Downtown Doha, the world’s first fully built smart and sustainable city district. The award recognises the company’s health and safety performance during the period from 1 January to 31 December 2024.
Msheireb Properties’ safety systems go beyond compliance by promoting a workplace culture where health and safety are seen as shared responsibilities. From site workers to senior management, all team members are actively involved in upholding best practices.
This latest award places further emphasis on the importance of safety-led thinking in modern urban development and showcases how smart cities like Msheireb Downtown Doha can operate efficiently while safeguarding the wellbeing of their users.
