The Scouts Royale Brotherhood Qatar Alumni Association (SRB-QAA) reaffirmed its commitment to service by providing food for Iftar to Muslims in Qatar during Ramadan, emphasizing unity amidst diversity.
In a display of solidarity and compassion, SRB-QAA extended its hand to the community during the holy month of Ramadan, embodying the ethos of unity and service. Despite differences in religion, belief systems, and cultural backgrounds, the association remains steadfast in its belief in the inherent unity of humanity.
Established on February 9, 2006, by esteemed members of the Scouts Royale Brotherhood (SRB) from the Philippines, SRB-QAA remains dedicated to upholding the core principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service (LFS). Building upon the rich legacy of SRB, which traces its origins back to 1975 at the San Sebastian College Church Yard in Manila, Philippines, the Qatar-based alumni association fosters unity and equality among its members.
With a current membership of 201 individuals, SRB-QAA has been actively engaged in community service endeavors both within and beyond the borders of Qatar. Domestically, the association has contributed to various initiatives, including annual visits and donations to the Qatar Animal Welfare Society, participation in environmental conservation efforts with Deap Qatar Conservation, regular blood donations at Hamad General Hospital, and support for distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) within the Filipino community.
Moreover, SRB-QAA extends its philanthropic efforts to the Philippines, providing aid to calamity victims, conducting medical missions in collaboration with SRB, and donating school supplies to selected schools. The association’s commitment to community welfare transcends geographical boundaries, embodying the spirit of global citizenship.
In addition to its altruistic endeavors, SRB-QAA fosters a sense of familial bond among its members. Through activities such as team-building exercises held annually and during Eid holidays, the association nurtures strong interpersonal connections, reinforcing the notion that each member is an integral part of the SRB-QAA family.
Embodying the principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service, SRB-QAA serves as a testament to the transformative power of collective action. By championing unity and compassion, the association continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, regardless of nationality, religion, or creed.
As the Scouts Royale Brotherhood affirms, “May we always be in Leadership, Friendship, Service” (MWAB in LFS), echoing a commitment to embodying these principles in every aspect of their endeavors.
