Mirpur-AJK Divisional Authority orders registration of loader rickshaws in Mirpur Division by November 15 this year sharp:

MIRPUR (AJK); Oct. 19: Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain has directed the Excise and Taxation Officers (Motor Vehicle Registration Authority) Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber to register the registered loader rickshaws in Mirpur Division by November 15, 2025, it was officially said.

According to the details, made available to this Correspondent by an official spokesman for the district here Sunday, the Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain, taking notice of the non-registration of loader rickshaws across the division, had chaired a meeting recently to register the loader rickshaws.

“The loader rickshaws should be registered immediately”, the Commissioner Mirpur Division ordered through an official directive to the Excise and Taxation Officers, Motor Vehicle Registration Authority Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber, giving instructions, saying that in almost every city and town in Mirpur Division, a large number of loader rickshaws were registered at the local level for the transportation of equipment, such as Badun registration and Badun identification numbers, etc. are being used, due to which the culprits cannot be brought to justice due to the lack of identification of the accused in the accidents.

“Moreover, due to the lack of registration and fitness of the rickshaws, the mandatory government dues that other transporters are paying are not being collected from the owners, which is leading to discrimination against the owners of other transport”, the official directives by the Commissioner said.

“In addition, due to the lack of registration of a large number of loader rickshaws, the government treasury was also suffering an annual loss of millions of rupees”, it underlined

“The Secretary Regional Transport Authority Mirpur will be bound to arrange all the necessary documents and application forms etc. in this regard. Therefore, the registration of the loader rickshaws should be ensured by November 15, 2025 and the port should be sent to them”, according to the  official order.
