President Recep Tayyip Erdogan marked the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, pledging to preserve the nation’s unity, independence, and resilience as it advances toward the Century of Türkiye visio“`n.
“We are working with all our strength to keep the Republic of Türkiye everlasting,” Erdogan said in an official message, describing the republic as the “final roof” of a centuries-old state tradition built on national sacrifice and determination for freedom.
Honoring those who secured the nation’s independence, he added: “I commemorate with mercy the heroes who made these lands our homeland with their blood and lives.”
Erdogan stressed Türkiye’s determination to resist threats to its social cohesion and national solidarity, saying the nation would continue to overcome challenges and foil external plots. He reaffirmed that Türkiye’s goal is a “terror-free nation where 86 million citizens live in peace.”
Highlighting development and progress across multiple sectors, Erdogan said Türkiye is making “groundbreaking strides in every field” in line with its long-term national goals.
The president also emphasized Türkiye’s expanding diplomatic role, reaffirming its commitment to defending justice and stability in global affairs.
At Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Erdogan led official Republic Day ceremonies, laying a wreath, observing a moment of silence, and signing the memorial guestbook. He wrote: “No matter how broad the attacks against us may become, we will not deviate from our path, and we will entrust a great and strong Türkiye as our legacy to future generations.”
