MIRPUR AJK); Nov. 24: PML – N AJK Chapter’s President and Ex Speaker Azad Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir has categorically said that his party would launch its candidates for all 53 seats in the forthcoming State Legislative Assembly elections in Azad Jammu Kashmir including on all 12 seats meant for the Jammu Kashmir refugees settled in Pakistan without reaching into alliance with any party.

Our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur that Qadir was talking to journalists at the side line of the celebration of 11th founding anniversary of AJK’s widely circulated Urdu daily “Kashmir Nama here Sunday night.

Shah Ghulam Qadir was flanked by his senior party’ comrades including ex ministers Chaudhry Saeed and Chaudhry Rukhsar besides a large number of the party activists.

The PML N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir continued that the liberated territory of Azad Jammu Kashmir comprising the people of Azad Jammu Kashmir and the pakistan-based occupied Jammu Kashmir refugees and AJK’s residents, was a single legitimate and constitional entity under the spirit of the internationally-acknowledged norms especially the UN resolutions, nobody could resort to harm this entity. He continued that any move to reduce the constitional status of Azad Jammu Kashmir government only to Azad Kashmir government could be detrimental to the Kashmir cause and the basic status of the global Kashmir conflict, still required to be settled under the spirit of the international norms and commitments most particularly the United Nations resolutions, he added.

Refering to the internal political situation of Azad Jammu Kashmir in the post change of government regime, Shah Ghulam Qadir said that his party will fully support all positive steps of the PPP- led new government in the larger interest of the state. “However, every wrong step on the part of the State administration, will be strongly opposed within the assembly and at the public level”, he declared.

Earlier he cut the cake of the founding anniversary of the daily Kashmir Nama on the occasion of his visit to Mirpur, where he attended several of the reception meetings hosted by the city elite including the PML N supporters and activists.

Former DG Information AJK Raja Azhar Iqbal, former President Supreme Court Bar Raja Zubair Ahmed Advocate, PML (N) UK leader Tahir Mughal, former DG Local Government Raja Fayyaz Khan and league also attended the ceremony.

Shah Ghulam Qadir further said that in his recent speech in the assembly, he had made it clear that the PPP AJK has only 13 sure votes in the 53- seat hous, the rest of the government has been formed by collecting “somewhere’s rubble, somewhere’s brick”. He said that today, unfortunately, it has to be said that the same people who repeatedly changed political loyalties have caused chaos and instability in the politics of Azad Kashmir.

He said that “the members of the assembly who were in turmoil were once ministers with Qayyum Niazi, then became part of Tanveer Ilyas’ government, later Anwarul Haq became the Prime Minister due to his changes and today the fourth Prime Minister has come to this assembly because of them.”

Shah Ghulam Qadir asserted that these people had also come to him, but the PML-N flatly refused to include them in its party. Shah Ghulam Qadir said that in the upcoming general elections, the “four government makers” will realize their political status and the PML-N will form the government with a huge majority. He said in clear words that “I write with my blood that there will be no alliance with the PPP in the elections. The PML-N will also field its candidates on the 12 seats of refugees living in Pakistan.”

The PML-N AJK president said that his party believes in principled politics and will play an effective role at every forum for the protection of the state’s identity, the supremacy of the constitution and law and the rights of the people.
