Pakistan Condemns Sudan Attack Killing Bangladeshi UN Peacekeepers

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 15– Pakistan strongly condemned the deadly attack on Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers in Sudan on Saturday, which claimed the lives of six soldiers and injured eight others, according to the Bangladesh Army.
In a statement, Pakistani Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi expressed the country’s deepest condolences to the government and people of Bangladesh and stood in solidarity with the bereaved families.
“The UN peacekeepers serve at the forefront of global efforts to prevent conflict, protect civilians, and promote peace under the UN flag,” he said. “We pay homage to their ultimate sacrifice for peace and stability in the region.”
Andrabi called for a swift investigation to identify the perpetrators of the attack and ensure those responsible are held accountable.
He further reiterated that Pakistan would continue collaborating with UN Security Council members and the international community to guarantee the safety and security of all UN peacekeepers serving in conflict zones.
Pakistan’s condemnation reflects its firm commitment to supporting UN missions and honoring the sacrifices of peacekeepers dedicated to maintaining global peace and stability.
