Israeli Air Strikes Hit Southern and Eastern Lebanon

Beirut, December 26 (QNA) – Israeli warplanes carried out a series of heavy air strikes on towns in southern and eastern Lebanon on Friday, according to Lebanese state media.
The Lebanese National News Agency said the raids targeted Jabal Safi, the Bureij area on the outskirts of Jbaa in the Iqlim Al Tuffah region, and Wadi Kafarmilki in the south.
Separate strikes were also reported on the outskirts of Hermel in eastern Lebanon.
The attacks come despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27 last year, which required Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages in southern Lebanon within 60 days.
Lebanese officials said Israeli troops remain at five locations and continue to carry out air strikes and other violations.
