MIRPUR ( AJK): January 15 ( APP): A high level three member delegation of the JKLF Diplomatic Bureau led by its Head Prof. Raja Zafar Khan Wednesday called on Chairperson of all Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir (APPGK) and British Member Parliament for Bradford East Imran Hussain in United Kingdom seeking early intervention of the British Government and both houses of the country’s parliament to ensure safety of the life of incarcerated distinguished Kashmiri leader and the JKLF (Y) Supremo Yasin Malik, languishing in India’s infamous Tihar Jail in New Delhi in fake allegations, organisers said.

“The other two members of the JKLF delegation were the Bureau Secretary Mr. Mehmood Hussain and the senior party leader Mr. Sanowar Hussain. The meeting took place in the British Parliament, says an official statement issued here on Thursday.

According to a detailed statement issued from JKLF Central Information Office by the party chief spokesman M. Rafiq Dar on Thursday, , the JKLF Diplomatic Bureau delegation apprised the APPGK Chairperson about the current volatile situation of the disputed State of Jammu Kashmir. They spoke at length about the gross human rights violations committed by the occupational forces present in Jammu Kashmir.

While briefing the APPGK Chairperson about the illegal incarceration of Mr. Muhammad Yasin Malik (the JKLF Chairman and the most popular pro-freedom political leader of the entire but currently divided State of Jammu Kashmir), the head of the party delegation Prof. Raja Zafar Khan during the discussions diverted the attention of MP Imran Hussain towards the pro-freedom political prisoners of Jammu Kashmir languishing in Indian jails, and informed him that the cases filed against them are fake and politically motivated. He further said that Yasin Malik has been the worst victim of political vendetta at the hands of the current extremist government of India led by Prime Minister Narender Modi, the statement read.

According to Rafiq Dar, the delegation discussed in detail about the hostile and one sided court proceedings of Yasin Malik’s cases and urged MP Imran Hussain to raise his case directly with the British Government for immediate and necessary action aiming to save his life as the Indian government is hell bent upon to hang Mr. Malik under the pretext of concocted cases.

According to the statement, the JKLF delegation expressed their acknowledgement of MP Imran Hussain’s advocacy for Kashmiri rights, and his efforts to secure the British government’s intervention regarding the ongoing human concerns in Jammu Kashmir. The party leaders further expressed their gratitude for his recent parliamentary debate on Kashmir, which they described as constructive and positive. Mr. Dar further informed the media that during the meeting the party delegation highlighted MP’s long-standing and unwavering support for the Kashmir cause.

According to the statement the MP and APPGK Chairperson Imran Hussain in response reaffirmed his commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, and assured the delegation that he would definitely table the concerns regarding Yasin Malik’s case to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

Meanwhile, another three member delegation of JKLF (EU Zone) led by Zonal President Zaheer Zahid submitted memorandums to the offices of United Nations Organization (UNO), European Union Human Rights Commission (EUHRC) and Amnesty International (AI) in Brussels appealing the concerned to intervene in saving the precious life of the most revered and illegally incarcerated pro-freedom political leader of Jammu Kashmir Mr. Yasin Malik. The party spokesman informed that the JKLF EU Zonal general secretary Mr. Zahid Iqbal and the President JKLF Belgium Branch Mr. Altaf Khan were the other two members of the delegation. The submitted memorandums entailed the brief history of Yasin Malik, fake cases filed against him and the unjust Indian court proceedings, he added.
