MIRPUR (AJK): January 22 : Pakistan Kyokushin Karate recorded a historic international success at the International Commonwealth Kyokushin Karate Tournament, held at the Sogdiana Sports Palace, Navoi, Uzbekistan, by winning three Gold medals, three Silver medals, and receiving international officiating honors, it was officially stated.

While competing against strong international opposition, Pakistan’s contingent displayed exceptional skill, discipline, and Kyokushin spirit, proudly raising the national flag on the global stage, organisers’ spokesman Hashim Pasha, later told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here late Thursday.

The Medal Winners include Senpai Eesha Iram — Gold Medal and Senpai Laiba Rab Nawaz Janjua — Gold Medal

Similarly the Silver Medal winners include Abdullah — Gold Medal and Sensei Hassan Ali — Two Silver Medals.

Likewise the Officiating Honors include Shihan Babar Sohail Bhatti received the Best Referee & Judge Certificate andSensei Hassan Ali also received the Best Referee & Judge Certificate

This tournament marked a historic milestone for Pakistan Kyokushin Karate. Laiba Rab Nawaz Janjua became the first female Kyokushin Karateka in Pakistan’s history to win both Gold and Silver medals at a single international Kyokushin tournament, setting a new national benchmark for women in full-contact karate.

Additionally, for the first time in the history of Kyokushin Pakistan, the country secured three Gold medals at one international tournament, opening a new era of international success.

The achievement represents Pakistan, World So-Kyokushin Pakistan, Raja’s Martial Arts, and Babar Kyokushin Lahore, highlighting the growing strength of Kyokushin Karate in the country.

Officials credited this success to decades of dedication, training, and leadership under Shihan Raja Khalid Mahmood Janjua, a 6th Dan Black Belt (Japan/USA) and USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, whose efforts continue to elevate Pakistan Kyokushin Karate internationally.
