DAVOS: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused European nations of “avoiding action” on Ukraine following his meeting with former US President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Speaking to reporters, Zelensky confirmed that a document outlining security guarantees for Ukraine has been completed in coordination with the US team. “We need to sign, but it will come only after the war stops,” he said.
When asked if a formal deal has been reached, Zelensky clarified that the document has been finalized but still requires signatures from the involved parties, including the presidents, before moving to national parliaments for ratification.
Zelensky’s comments highlight ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure long-term security assurances for Ukraine amid the continuing conflict. He also expressed frustration with European partners, noting they have yet to take decisive action.
The finalized document represents a key step in international negotiations, although its implementation remains contingent on the cessation of hostilities and formal approval by the relevant national authorities.
