Beirut, January 25 (QNA) – A civilian was injured Sunday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted eastern Lebanon, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
The strike hit the Shaara area in the town of Janta, in the Baalbek district, according to the ministry.
Earlier in the day, one person was killed and another wounded in an Israeli strike between the towns of Khirbet Selm and Kfar Dunin in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon.
A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon took effect in November 2024, requiring Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages within 60 days. The Lebanese government later extended the deadline to February 18, but Israeli forces have remained at five positions and continue to carry out violations.
