Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a new trilateral meeting involving Russia, the United States, and Ukraine is scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi on February 4–5. The announcement was made Sunday via a statement on Telegram following a briefing from Ukraine’s negotiating team.
According to Zelenskyy, the upcoming consultations were agreed upon during ongoing discussions between Ukrainian and Russian representatives. He said Kyiv is prepared for “substantive talks” and remains focused on achieving a meaningful and dignified end to the war with Moscow.
Zelenskyy expressed appreciation to international partners facilitating dialogue and emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to a constructive outcome.
However, neither Moscow nor Washington has officially confirmed the dates or venue mentioned by the Ukrainian president. The proposed meeting in the United Arab Emirates would mark another diplomatic effort aimed at easing tensions and exploring potential pathways toward a negotiated settlement of the conflict.
Further details are expected pending confirmation from the other parties involved.
