Police in the Australian state of New South Wales are investigating a shooting that took place in a public area of the Central Coast region on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to a residence in Killarney Vale, a suburb of the Central Coast, just after 9:15 a.m. local time following reports of shots being fired, a New South Wales Police statement said.
Officers responding to the scene were informed that multiple shots had been discharged at a house before a man left the area in a white SUV. Authorities confirmed that three people at the property—a man and a woman in their 20s and a child—were unharmed and did not require medical treatment.
Police have established a crime scene around the home and have begun inquiries to determine the full circumstances of the incident. Detectives are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the event or who may have video footage or other evidence that could assist the investigation.
