KIEV, March 4 — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the next trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and Russia is expected within two days, according to Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
Zelensky said the talks are likely to take place on March 5 or 6 but will not be held in Abu Dhabi as previously planned. Alternative venues under consideration include Switzerland, Austria, the Vatican City and Türkiye.
He expressed hope that the upcoming discussions could pave the way for a new prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
Delegations from the three countries previously held two rounds of talks in Abu Dhabi on Jan. 23–24 and Feb. 4–5, followed by another round in Geneva on Feb. 17–18.
Last month, Ukraine and Russia carried out their first prisoner exchange since October 2025 after earlier trilateral negotiations.
Further details regarding the venue and agenda are expected to be confirmed soon.
