The United States has sustained an estimated $1.9 billion in military equipment losses during the first four days of strikes amid escalating hostilities with Iran, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency.
The most significant reported loss was the AN/FPS-132 early warning radar system at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, valued at approximately $1.1 billion. Qatari authorities confirmed the radar was struck and damaged in a missile attack on Saturday.
On Sunday, three F-15E Strike Eagles were lost in a friendly fire incident involving Kuwaiti air defenses. All six crew members survived, but the aircraft were destroyed. Replacement costs are estimated at $282 million.
Iranian strikes also reportedly targeted the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters in Manama, Bahrain, damaging two satellite communications terminals identified through open-source intelligence as AN/GSC-52B systems. Factoring in deployment and installation, the terminals are valued at roughly $20 million.
Iran further claimed it struck the AN/TPY-2 radar component of the THAAD missile defense system deployed at Al-Ruwais Industrial City in the United Arab Emirates. Satellite imagery referenced in open-source reports suggests damage consistent with a direct hit. The radar component is estimated to be worth $500 million.
Since the escalation began, at least seven US-linked military sites across the Middle East have reportedly been targeted, including facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, the UAE and Qatar. Satellite imagery and verified footage indicated structural damage at Erbil International Airport in Iraq and smoke rising from a facility within the US Navy’s recreational zone at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai.
US diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE were also struck by drones or missiles, resulting in limited structural damage and temporary closures, according to host country officials.
