Yemen’s Houthi movement announced it carried out a second wave of missile and drone attacks on southern Israel on Saturday, targeting what it described as vital sites amid escalating regional tensions.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said the operation involved cruise missiles and drones and was coordinated with Iran and Hezbollah, claiming the attacks had successfully achieved their objectives. He said the strikes were carried out in support of what he called the “fronts of resistance” in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran.
The spokesperson warned that the group’s military operations would continue in the coming days until what he described as aggression against regional countries comes to an end.
Earlier the same day, the Houthis also claimed responsibility for launching ballistic missiles toward southern Israel, marking their first such attack since Israel and the United States began large-scale strikes on Iran on Feb. 28.
Meanwhile, Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi reaffirmed the group’s readiness for further military action and reiterated strong ties with Iran amid ongoing regional tensions.
