Tehran, April 7 – At least two people were killed and three others injured after reported joint strikes by the United States and Israel targeted infrastructure in central Iran, according to official media.
The attacks hit a railway bridge in Isfahan province, with local officials confirming casualties and damage in the surrounding area. Additional projectiles reportedly struck near Kashan’s train station, damaging homes and vehicles.
Separate reports indicated that road bridges in Qom province were also targeted, though no casualties were reported. Explosions were heard on Kharg Island, a key oil export hub, where multiple military sites were struck, raising concerns over energy supply disruptions.
In retaliation, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it targeted an Israeli-linked vessel accused of transporting military equipment, signaling an escalation in hostilities.
Iran warned that any attacks on civilian infrastructure would provoke a broader response, emphasizing that while it does not initiate strikes on civilian targets, it will retaliate firmly against aggressions.
The developments come amid mounting regional tensions following weeks of U.S.-Israeli strikes, with analysts warning that further escalation could destabilize the Middle East and affect global energy markets.
