London, April 22 (QNA) – Oil prices rose on Wednesday, and Brent crude surpassed USD 100 per barrel, recovering its earlier losses during the session, following reports of gunfire on at least three container ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Brent crude futures increased by USD 1.59, or 1.6 percent, to USD 100.07 pb, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose by USD 1.51, or 1.7 percent, to USD 91.18.
Both benchmark crudes rose by about three percent on Tuesday. (QNA)
