MIRPUR (AJK), May 2 (APP): Central Joint Secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Azad Jammu Kashmir chapter, Raja Kamran Manzoor, has said that the party is committed to transforming Azad Jammu and Kashmir into a true welfare state while securing a landslide victory in the General Elections 2026.
Talking to this correspondent in Mirpur on Saturday, he said Pakistan is playing an effective role at the global level under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the guidance of Field Marshal General Asim Munir along with the armed forces. He said this leadership has strengthened national stability, improved international standing, and supported economic recovery efforts across the country.
He stated that a comprehensive development strategy would be implemented to turn AJK into an exemplary region at national and international levels, creating new opportunities for progress, investment, employment, and long-term prosperity. He added that the aim is to move the region toward a peaceful, transparent, and economically strong future.
Raja Kamran Manzoor welcomed the reported decision of senior politician Raja Zulqarnain Khan and his associates to join PML-N, calling it a significant political development that would strengthen the party’s position ahead of elections. He said such inclusions reflect growing public confidence in the party’s policies and leadership.
He claimed that this development would contribute to a landslide victory for PML-N in the upcoming General Elections 2026, particularly ensuring a strong mandate in Bhimber district with a two-thirds majority.
He said the inclusion of senior political figures alongside young leadership would bring positive and lasting change in regional politics. He added that coordination between Central General Secretary Chaudhry Tariq Farooq and Raja Babar Ali Zulqarnain would usher in a new era of development, governance reforms, and public service delivery.
Raja Kamran Manzoor further stated that under the leadership of party president Shah Ghulam Qadir and former Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, PML-N would secure complete success across AJK in the upcoming elections and form a strong government with a two-thirds majority.
He said the vision of PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif, the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the policies of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif would be implemented in AJK to accelerate development, improve governance systems, and ensure institutional strengthening in the region.
