MIRPUR (AJK), May 6: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (Yasin Malik), JKLF-Y, has announced a three-day conference to be held in Birmingham, United Kingdom, on May 30, marking the founding day of the organization, with the aim of unifying all JKLF factions under a single platform led by Yasin Malik.
In an official statement released to the media, JKLF-Y Acting Chairman Raja Muzaffar said the conference has been convened by a steering committee of founding leaders based in the UK. He described the initiative as part of renewed efforts to consolidate all factions of the movement and restore organizational unity at a critical political moment.
Raja Muzaffar said the current situation in Kashmir demands clarity, coordination, and a unified direction for the ongoing political struggle. He stressed that only one JKLF, under the leadership of Yasin Malik, represents the original vision and objectives of the movement.
He added that the initiative reflects the aspirations of party workers and supporters, expressing confidence that positive developments would soon emerge. According to him, unity within the ranks is essential to strengthen the collective voice of the organization.
The acting chairman further said the three-day conference will serve as a platform to engage different factions and encourage reconciliation under a shared leadership framework. He noted that the effort is intended to end internal divisions and reinforce JKLF’s political message at a time of heightened regional sensitivities.
Raja Muzaffar described Yasin Malik as the most trusted and central figure of the movement, emphasizing that the conference aims to reinforce his leadership role. He said the outcome is expected to project a unified stance and strengthen the organization’s overall political position.
The statement concluded that the Birmingham conference marks an important step toward internal consolidation and renewed organizational cohesion within JKLF.
