Milan, May 08 (QNA) – Advisor to the Prime Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed Mohammed Al Ansari stressed the importance of stronger international cooperation and renewed diplomatic efforts to address growing regional and global instability during a forum on EU-GCC relations held in Milan.
Speaking at a session titled “Bridging Stability: EU-GCC Cooperation in an Era of Fragmentation” Dr. Al Ansari said ongoing conflicts and geopolitical crises were placing increasing pressure on global stability and international decision-making.
The event was organized by Doha Forum and MED Dialogues in partnership with Italian Institute for International Political Studies and the Center for International Policy Research.
Dr. Al Ansari warned against political narratives aimed at serving strategic interests amid rising global competition and shifting power balances. He emphasized that political and military pressure alone could not ensure sustainable solutions or long-term peace.
He underlined the growing importance of mediation and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and preventing further escalation. He also noted that current wars were affecting relations between Europe the United States and the Middle East with broader impacts on energy security supply chains the global economy and international alliances.
Concluding his remarks Dr. Al Ansari stressed that security and stability could no longer be achieved by individual states acting alone but required collective international coordination and a shared vision to address evolving global challenges.
