Mirpur DHQ Hospital Hosts Blood Camp Marking ‘Marka-e-Haq’ Anniversary Tribute

MIRPUR: A grand ceremony and special blood donation camp were organized at the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur, Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur, to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” and pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces on completion of one year of Operation “Bunyan Marsus.”
The event was chaired by Medical Superintendent Dr. Ijaz Ahmed and attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Khurram Iqbal, Principal Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College Prof. Dr. Faisal Bashir, District Health Officer Fida Hussain Raja, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Maria Zulfiqar, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Owais Zahid, along with a large number of doctors, nurses, paramedics, and hospital staff.
Speakers paid rich tribute to the sacrifices and services of the Pakistan Armed Forces, highlighting their role in ensuring national security, peace, and stability, and in the fight against terrorism. They reaffirmed their commitment to national unity and pledged continued support for the armed forces in safeguarding the country.
A special cake was cut to honor the services of the Pakistan Army, while participants raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Fauj Zindabad” in a display of solidarity and patriotism.
The blood donation camp, held as part of the anniversary observance, saw enthusiastic participation from hospital staff and members of civil society, who donated blood in large numbers. Participants described the initiative as a symbol of national unity, humanitarian service, and respect for martyrs.
Speakers emphasized that blood donation is not only a humanitarian duty but also a powerful expression of solidarity with patients in need. They resolved to continue promoting such activities to support healthcare services and save lives.
The ceremony concluded with special prayers for national security, progress, prosperity, and the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs in the hereafter.
