TEHRAN, May 15 — The United States has rejected Iran’s 14-point peace proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, according to Iranian media reports on Friday. The Tehran Times reported that Washington dismissed the initiative and reiterated its coercive position, particularly on the nuclear issue.

Iran’s proposal reportedly outlined a two-stage negotiation framework. The first stage called for a comprehensive ceasefire across all fronts, while the second stage would address nuclear-related concerns once initial conditions were met. The plan was submitted earlier this month as a counter to a nine-point U.S. proposal, with Pakistani intermediaries facilitating the exchange.

Iran also suggested a 30-day timeline for resolving key issues, contrasting with Washington’s two-month ceasefire approach. Tehran insisted that negotiations should focus on ending hostilities rather than temporary truces, while the U.S. has maintained its existing stance, according to the report.

Officials have not indicated any immediate breakthrough, and diplomatic engagement remains uncertain amid continuing tensions between the two sides in the region. No official confirmation has been issued yet.
