TEHRAN: Iran’s army has warned it will “open new fronts” against the United States if any renewed attacks are launched, according to remarks reported by the ISNA news agency.
Army spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia said Iran would respond with “new methods” if enemy aggression resumes or if the United States falls into what he called an Israeli trap. His comments were shared on social media platform X and cited by ISNA.
He added that any future hostile action would trigger expanded responses beyond existing confrontation areas.
Akraminia also said Iran has used the current ceasefire period to strengthen military readiness and enhance combat capabilities.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts involving international mediators seeking to prevent further escalation.
Iranian officials have repeatedly warned that any renewed strikes on its territory would be met with a broader response, signaling continued volatility in the region.
The statement did not provide operational details or timelines but emphasized Iran’s preparedness for a rapid reaction if conflict resumes.
