Mirpur DBA Hails AJK Special Athletes’ National Success Achievement

MIRPUR (AJK), May 20 — Mirpur District Bar Association (DBA) President Babar Ali Khan Advocate on Wednesday felicitated the special athletes of the Kashmir Institute of Special Education (KISE) for securing three silver medals at the recently held National Special Olympics in Islamabad, calling it a matter of pride for Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the achievement of KISE athletes at the national level reflects their talent, determination, and the supportive role of their institution. He noted that the success of special students in competitive sports highlights their intellectual strength and potential, adding that such accomplishments bring honor to the entire region.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by senior members of the legal fraternity, including General Secretary Chaudhry Zahid Hussain Advocate, Vice President Ms. Nousheen Iqbal Advocate, Joint Secretary Khawaja Afaq Ahmed Advocate, and Secretary Publication Faizan Munawar Khokhar Advocate, among others. The special athletes were accompanied by KISE Director Dr. Amjad Ansari and Manager Muhammad Saleem Chauhan, who briefed participants on the performance and training efforts of the players.
Babar Ali Khan Advocate said it is a proud precedent for AJK that special athletes have demonstrated their abilities at the national level and brought recognition to the region. He appreciated KISE for its continued role in promoting education and development for special children, noting that its students have consistently achieved success in both academics and extracurricular fields.
He urged the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to provide enhanced facilities, institutional support, and encouragement for special athletes so they may continue contributing positively to society. He stressed that empowering such individuals is essential for inclusive national development.
The DBA president also congratulated the KISE management and assured full cooperation from the legal community in supporting rehabilitation and development initiatives for special students.
