Moscow, June 21– Russian Armed Forces have carried out strikes on a military airfield, oil refining facilities, and key fuel, energy, and transport infrastructure in Ukraine over the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry said Sunday.
According to the ministry, Russian operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile, and artillery units targeted Ukraine’s military-related infrastructure along front-line combat zones. Targets included workshops for long-range drone production, assembly and storage sites, energy and transport facilities, fuel depots, logistics hubs, and temporary deployment points of Ukrainian forces and foreign fighters across 147 locations.
The ministry said Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed eight guided aerial bombs and 483 fixed-wing drones launched by Ukrainian forces within the same period across various combat areas.
It also reported that the Russian Black Sea Fleet destroyed four unmanned boats belonging to Ukrainian forces in the southwestern Black Sea.
The Defense Ministry stated that the strikes were part of ongoing military operations aimed at reducing Ukraine’s combat capabilities and disrupting its logistical and operational infrastructure along the front line.
No independent verification of the claims was immediately available.
