Doha, June 24 (QNA) – HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
At the outset of the call, HH the Amir extended his condolences and sympathy to HE the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the victims of the explosion that occurred at one of the industrial facilities in Ras Laffan Industrial City, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several Pakistani nationals. He wished those injured a speedy recovery.
For his part, HE the Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed his profound gratitude to HH the Amir for his heartfelt sentiments and commended the healthcare provided by the State of Qatar to the injured, as well as the efforts made by the competent authorities in handling the incident.
Both sides underscored their support for the families of the victims, along with the two countries’ commitment to strengthening the bonds of cooperation in the interests of both brotherly peoples.
In addition, the conversation focused on bilateral relations between the two nations, as well as evolving regional developments, particularly updates regarding the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this context, HE the Prime Minister of Pakistan lauded the endeavors of the State of Qatar in promoting regional security, peace, and stability, expressing his appreciation for Qatar’s efforts to support security and stability in the region.
