Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Sunday paid rich tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on the occasion of her 73rd birth anniversary, describing her as a symbol of democracy, public service, courage, and sacrifice.
In a special message, the AJK prime minister said Benazir Bhutto, the first woman prime minister of the Islamic world, rendered historic services for democracy, public rights, and the unity of Pakistan.
Rathore said her political struggle continues to serve as a guiding light for the nation. He noted that despite facing immense challenges and difficult circumstances, she upheld the Constitution and remained committed to democratic values.
He added that public service, bravery, and sacrifice form the enduring legacy of Benazir Bhutto, and her leadership would always be remembered in Pakistan’s political history.
The AJK premier further said the Pakistan Peoples Party in Azad Kashmir would continue serving the people in line with her vision and principles.
He prayed for the elevation of her ranks, saying: “May Almighty Allah grant eternal peace to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.”
