DOHA: Following the inauguration of the Pakistan Fruit Festival, RKI.News conducted an exclusive interview with Mr. Engin Gunlu, Executive Director of Commercial, Al Meera Consumer Goods Co. (Q.P.S.C.), who reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Pakistan and expanding direct sourcing of premium products.
Mr. Gunlu said Al Meera was honoured to host H.E. Muhammad Aamer, Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar, during the Pakistan Fruit Festival, describing it as an important initiative that highlights the quality of Pakistani agricultural products.
“We are very honoured to host His Excellency in our store and to showcase our directly imported products from Pakistan. Mangoes are the highlight of this season, and we are delighted to celebrate the Pakistan Fruit Festival with our customers,” he said.
He noted that Al Meera operates more than 50 branches across Qatar and already offers over 100 Pakistani products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, rice, spices, bakery items, and grocery goods.
Mr. Gunlu added that discussions with the Ambassador focused on expanding direct imports from Pakistan and exploring new opportunities for cooperation with Pakistani exporters.
He emphasized that Al Meera values its long-standing partnership with Pakistan and remains committed to introducing more high-quality Pakistani products to consumers in Qatar while supporting stronger bilateral trade and supply chain cooperation.
The Pakistan Fruit Festival, running from 2 to 8 July, reflects the growing commercial relationship between Pakistan and Qatar and serves as a platform to showcase Pakistan’s premium fresh produce in the Qatari market.
