Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara has officially launched its Katara Summer Camps 2026, attracting nearly 190 children and young participants for a month-long programme of cultural, artistic, scientific, and educational activities. The camps will continue until July 29, offering an engaging environment that combines learning, creativity, and skill development.
Participants have been enrolled in 11 specialized camps, including Heritage and Traditional Crafts, Al Thuraya Summer Camp, Little Actor, Literature, Photography, Smart and Strong, Summer Ceramics, Visual Arts, Religious Studies, Beauty from Our Heritage, and Silent Comedy. Each programme has been designed to match the interests of children and adolescents while providing practical learning experiences that nurture talent and expand knowledge.
From the opening day, participants actively engaged in interactive workshops, group activities, and creative sessions that encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and self-expression. The Literature Camp features workshops on Arabic language, public speaking, creative writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, while the arts, ceramics, photography, and acting camps provide hands-on opportunities for young talents to explore creativity.
The Al Thuraya Summer Camp introduces participants to astronomy and space sciences, the Smart and Strong Camp combines physical and mental development, and the Religious Studies Camp promotes moral values and knowledge through age-appropriate educational activities.
Katara said the summer camps reflect its commitment to making productive use of school holidays by offering inspiring programmes that strengthen children’s creativity, confidence, and intellectual growth while fostering appreciation for culture, heritage, arts, and science. The initiative also supports Katara’s vision of nurturing young talent and preparing a creative generation proud of its cultural identity.
