Katara, Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara hosted the National Day celebration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, organized by the Embassy of Egypt in Qatar at Building 12, in the presence of H.E. Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, and H.E. Mr. Waleed Fahmy, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Qatar.
The celebration was attended by several ministers, ambassadors, heads and representatives of accredited diplomatic missions in Qatar, along with distinguished guests and figures from cultural and diplomatic fields.
The event began with the national anthems of Qatar and Egypt. In his remarks, H.E. Mr. Waleed Fahmy expressed his pride in the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Egypt and Qatar, emphasizing the importance of national occasions in strengthening communication, understanding, friendship and cultural cooperation between peoples.
The ceremony also featured a documentary film highlighting the history of the Arab Republic of Egypt, its national milestones and achievements, while showcasing aspects of Egyptian identity and its rich civilizational heritage. The presentation was appreciated by attendees for reflecting Egypt’s historical journey and contemporary achievements.
The celebration reflected the strong relations between the two countries and provided an opportunity for diplomatic representatives, officials and cultural personalities to connect in an atmosphere promoting dialogue, openness and cultural exchange.
