DOHA: The Qatar Leadership Centre has officially launched the third edition of the Leaders of Tomorrow Camp 2026, a youth leadership programme organised in cooperation with the American University of Beirut. The initiative brings together 100 Qatari high school students and reflects the centre’s continued commitment to preparing future national leaders through specialised educational and leadership development programmes.
Designed for students in Grades 10, 11 and 12, the programme offers an integrated educational and training experience that combines academic learning with practical application. It aims to strengthen leadership, entrepreneurship and community service skills while encouraging initiative, teamwork, innovation and creative thinking among participants.
The camp is being held from July 5 to 16 at the Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha. Throughout the programme, participants will engage in interactive workshops, practical exercises and leadership activities delivered by faculty members and experts from the American University of Beirut. The curriculum blends internationally recognised academic practices with real-world experience to provide students with a comprehensive leadership learning experience.
A key component of the programme is a series of field visits to leading institutions across Qatar. These visits are designed to familiarise participants with institutional best practices and provide practical exposure to professional work environments. The experience bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application while deepening students’ understanding of the role national institutions play in supporting Qatar’s development.
The initiative reflects the Qatar Leadership Centre’s vision of creating a dynamic learning environment that develops leadership capabilities, enhances strategic thinking, strengthens communication skills and promotes teamwork. It also prepares participants to face future challenges confidently and contribute effectively to their communities and the nation’s long-term development.
The programme further demonstrates the centre’s commitment to promoting a culture of leadership among young people through specialised initiatives tailored to different age groups. By refining participants’ personal and professional skills, the camp aims to prepare a new generation capable of assuming leadership responsibilities in the future.
The Qatar Leadership Centre continues to expand its leadership development ecosystem through partnerships with leading international universities and academic institutions. These initiatives support Qatar’s strategy of investing in human capital and developing capable national leaders who can contribute to the country’s sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.
