JUBA, July 22: Chinese Ambassador to South Sudan Ma Qiang and Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in education, capacity building and infrastructure to support sustainable development and improve public services.
During a meeting in Juba, the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties through practical initiatives aimed at enhancing human resource development, empowering young people and improving the delivery of essential public services.
Ambassador Ma reiterated China’s willingness to work closely with the state government on projects in education, infrastructure and skills development to improve people’s livelihoods. He said expanded exchange programmes and professional training would help strengthen local capacity and contribute to long-term socio-economic progress.
Governor Adil Anthony praised the partnership with the Chinese embassy, describing it as vital for projects that directly benefit local communities. He stressed that investing in education and human capital is essential for sustainable development and announced plans to strengthen the public workforce through specialised training while expanding scholarship opportunities for students to pursue higher education in China.
Both sides also agreed to explore additional areas of cooperation aligned with Central Equatoria State’s development priorities.
