Moscow, August 10 (QNA) – The Russian forces conducted precision strikes on energy facilities and drone assembly workshops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kyiv, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Monday.
The statement added that Russian forces destroyed the equipment of two mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and three National Guard brigades near several towns.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 335 troops, eight armored combat vehicles, 12 vehicles, two field artillery pieces and three electronic warfare stations, the statement continued.
The ministry also said Russia’s “Southern” forces knocked out, in their area of responsibility, formations belonging to two mechanized brigades, an airborne brigade and a naval infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It added that Ukrainian forces lost up to 205 service members, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, 22 vehicles, an artillery piece and a counter-battery radar station.
In recent weeks, Russia has upped the ante and targeted maritime facilities in Ukraine, especially in the south, with Kyiv increasingly counting on sneak attacks using one-way attack drones and, on numerous occasions, reaching Russian oil facilities and damaging them.
