# Mirpur Blind Students Make History With 100 Percent Matric Result

*MIRPUR (AJK), Aug. 24:* Students of Aqab School for the Blind, Mirpur, have demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the 2026 matriculation examinations conducted by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (AJKBISE), securing a 100 per cent result.

According to the results announced by the AJK Board, Huriya Malik secured 1,008 marks and an A+ grade, while Syeda Tehreem Fatima obtained 1,005 marks, also securing an A+ grade.

Tooba Huma secured 952 marks and an A grade. Rehan Shahzad obtained 806 marks, Nafisa Naeem 782 marks, and Saifur Rehman 579 marks, securing B, B and D grades respectively.

Aqab School for the Blind Principal Professor Ilyas Ayub said the institution’s 100 per cent result was a source of immense pride for the school administration, teachers, parents and students.

He said the school administration was working with dedication to provide quality education to visually impaired children and develop their academic and personal abilities. He added that Aqab School for the Blind was among the leading institutions in Azad Kashmir providing education to visually impaired students.

Professor Ayub congratulated the students, parents, teachers and school administration, saying the achievement reflected determination, hard work and courage.

He said the success proved that lack of sight could not become a barrier to educational achievement and expressed hope that students would continue their studies with the same commitment.

The achievement was widely hailed as a shining example of resilience and determination.
