Doha, December 08 (QNA) – Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and is the official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari met on Sunday with US Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Roger Carstens, on the margin of the Doha Forum 2024.

Talks during the meeting, addressed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and discussed the latest regional and international developments, in addition to a host of topics of mutual interest.

The American official, during the meeting, commended the State of Qatar’s continuous efforts to enhance regional and international security and stability, including its mediation efforts in Gaza, which resulted in the release of a number of prisoners and detainees, in addition to its role in evacuating US citizens from Afghanistan.
