MIRPUR ( AJK): January 20: The Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council has summoned the regular meeting of the Council No. 111 on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Supreme Court Rest House, Mirpur, it was officially said.

Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan, will chair, Our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports quoting authorotative official sources of AJK government on Tuesday.

The meeting will be attended among others by by the esteemed members of the Council, Maulana Saeed Yousaf Khan, Mufti Syed Kifayat Hussain Naqvi, Maulana Sahibzada Pir Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Mehboobi, Maulana Qari Atiq-ur-Rehman, Maulana Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah Mohammadi, Maulana Maqsood Ahmed Tohidi, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yaqub Haider, Maulana Muhammad Asif Baloch, Allama Ghulam Mujtaba Bukhari, concerned secretaries and other officials, the sources said.

During the meeting, the esteemed members will deliberate on the “Azad Jammu and Kashmir Social Security for Destitute Persons Act 2024”, “Azad Jammu and Kashmir Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act 2019” and the Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran for Muslim Students Rules 2020” in the light of the written opinions of the Council, formulate the recommendations of the Council, and approve the resolutions prepared at the level of the Council Secretariat.
