State-of-the-art fully-equipped D/4 Mini Police Station inaugurated: Named After Martyred S.I Adnan Qureshi Shaheed:

MIRPUR (AJK): Nov. 4: Under the spirit to ensure foolproof safety and security to the lives and properties of the masses AJK police was fully acting upon to perform their duties in line with the almost expectations of the masses under the policies determined by the State police force and the government in line with the needs of latest era

These views were expressed by Deputy Inspector General Police (DIG) Police Mirpur-AJK Division Dr. Liaquat Hussain while inaugurating the State of the art mini police station ( Police Beat-6) in the densely populated residential sector D4 in Mirpur city Tuesday evening. This beat was named after the police Sub-Inspector Adnan Farooq Qureshi Shaheed.

SSP Mirpur-AJK Khurram Iqbal apprised the DIG Police and other invitees including the city elite of the uplift of the police services for the protection of the lives and property, through emergence of the fully equiped police beats (mini police stations) in all thickly populated residential sectors in this lake city of Mirpur in line with the needs of the modern age.

The inaugural ceremony was addressed among others, by DIG Police Dr. Liaquat Ali, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz, SSP Khurram Iqbal and father of the martyred police sub inspector Muhammad Farooq Qureshi.

The DIG Police Dr. Liaquat Ali and Farooq Qureshi, father of the martyred police officer inaugurated the police beat unveiling the plaque of the building.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG Dr. Liaquat Ali said that the police beat will prove to be useful for crime control in the area in the future. The Police Post will later ne upgraded as a Sadar Police Station in this fast developing housing sector to help control crimes in view of the increased population with passage of the time.

Dr. LIaqat said that the job of the police was primarily to serve for the people providing security and facilities to them, for which the Azad Kashmir Police ilwas taking all possible steps, he added. He appreciated the efforts of SSP Khurram Iqbal for naming the Police Beat after Sub-Inspector Adnan Farooq Shaheed of Azad Kashmir Police. He said that Adnan Farooq Shaheed was the pride of the Azad Jammu Kashmir Police and the supreme sacrifice of his life and services were commendable for the entire AJK police force, he added.

Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz and SSP Khurram Iqbal, while speaking, said that the establishment of the D/4 Police Beat was to keep alive the sacrifice of the martyr by naming it after Sub-Inspector Adnan Farooq Qureshi Shaheed.

The said that the Police beat will help in to prevent crimes in the area. They said that the great sacrifice made by Adnan Farooq Shaheed will always be remembered.

On this occasion, former advisor to the government Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Secretary Home AJK government Amjad Ali Mughal, Chief Engineer Electricity Muhammad Nazir Mughal, SP Raja Nadeem Arif, DSP Haji Sikandar Azam, former judge Mansha Ghaus, Chaudhry Waqas Ashraf Asvocate, Senior journalists including Kashmir Press Club President Syed Abid Hussain Shah, ex Presidents Altaf Hamid Rao and Sajaad Haider Jiraal, Zaffar Mughal, SVP KPC Faisal Gulzar, Shafaat Ahmed, Rashid Bashir Chaudhry, Usaamaa Khizer, Asif Iqbal, District Information Officer Javed Malik
