AJK PM terms historic March 23, 1940 resolution an integrated roadmap for emergence of separate homeland of Muslims of sub continent:

MIRPUR ( AJK): March 23: Azad Jammu Kashmir state Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has said that it was for the first time that a comprehensive roadmap for the attainment of a separate and sovereign homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent was presented at the historic Lahore summit on 23 March 1940.

“The historic resolution presented the concept of a united homeland for Muslims identifying its areas, provinces and regions that were to be included in Pakistan”, the PM said in his video message issued on the occasion of Pakistan day on Sunday.

This day marks a significant moment in history when the Muslim leadership of the subcontinent developed the idea of the world’s first Islamic ideological state”, the PM said, adding that the long cherished goal was finally achieved on 14th August 1947 under the inspiring leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah there by adhering to his golden principles of faith, unity and discipline. The historical quest for the establishment of Pakistan, he said, is marked by the sacrifices and migration of millions of Muslims from the subcontinent.

“The participation of the Kashmiris’ representatives in the Lahore summit was a testament to the fact that Kashmiris shared this vision alongside other entities of Pakistan”, he remarked.He said that the state of Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir just as the word Pakistan cannot be formed without the letter K.The PM termed the ongoing freedom movement in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as an extension of the Pakistan movement.The Prime Minister Haq said that anti-national forces work hand in glove with Fitna-ul-Kharij and other terrorist organizations to destabilize Pakistan.

“The brave forces of Pakistan are laying down their lives to combat these challenges and protect the nation, ensuring its security and stability”, he added.The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with our brave forces in war against terrorism. The PM paid eulogizing tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Pakistan movement.He also paid homage to Kashmiri martyrs who laid down their lives for the sacred cause of freedom.
