MIRPUR (AJK): Oct 10: Azad Jammu Kashmir police secures a big honor for its unprecedented high professional services to the masses as the young and distinguished Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch District, Khawar Ali Shaukat has been nominated for an international award in acknowledgement of his high professional skills and talent, it was officially said.
“He has been invited participate in the International Police Conference to be held in the United States next week to receive the award”, a District AJK government spokesman told this Correspondent here on Friday.
“The international award is given every year by the International Association of Police Chiefs to 40 police officers from around the world in recognition of their high professional services to the police for eradication of evils from the society and implementation of the police system in accordance with international standards”, he said.
SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat, currently posted in Poonch, has been nominated from Azad Jammu Kashmir for the award.
” Khawar, a young, brave and courageous officer of the Azad Jammu Police, has always safeguarded and maintained the supremacy of law and constitution during his professional duties in various parts of AJK, taking required steps to provide high and professional services in the police system in the best possible way to establish law and order, eliminate crimes including drug trafficking and other social evils from the society”, according to the spokesman.
This AJK Correspondent understands that Khawer’s nomination for this international award is a great honor for Pakistan including Azad Jammu Kashmir.
“SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat will leave this week to attend the International Police Conference to be held in Colorado, USA, to receive this award. His nomination for the international award has brought a wave of jubilation among the Azad Jammu Kashmir Police and general law-abiding citizens besides his family and friends and he is being congratulated for his nomination for this award”, according to the spokesman.
