AJK SCBA seeks quick intervention of the international community to prevent continual atrocities in IIOJK:

MIRPUR ( AJK): Jan. 17: Azad Jammu & Kashmir Supreme Court Bar Association’ President Javed Najam-ul-Saqib Advocate has called upon the international community not to overlook the stark contrast between its socalled democratic claims and the harsh realities faced by the people of Indian-illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir state at the hands of the Indian occupational forces.

Talking to journalists at the Kashmir Press Club here on Friday, the AJK SCBA President said that like all previous 77 years since 1947, Kashmiris around the globe, especially those enduring the occupation IIOJK, will observe the Indian Republic Day, falling on January 26, as “Black Day” to reiterate hatred against India besides the ongoing oppression and severe human rights violations committed by the Indian occupational military, para military and civil armed troops in the bleeding vale of Kashmir.

The AJK SCBA President strongly condemn the Indian sinister actions and reaffirm Kashmiris firm commitment to justice and the right to self-determination.

The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Supreme Court Bar Association Chief appealed to the international community to intervene immediately and prevent further atrocities. It is crucial for the global community to act decisively and uphold the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, ensuring peace, dignity, and freedom in the region.

For decades, Saqib continued, the people of Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have been subjected to relentless human rights abuses, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and widespread use of torture and state terrorism. . “Thousands of innocent Kashmiri families still search for their loved ones, uncertain if they were alive or have been secretly buried alive in the countless unmarked graves scattered across the region”, the AJK leagal community leader said adding ” even women and children have not been spared from this cruelty, as they continue to suffer from violence and trauma inflicted by the Indian occupying forces”.

“India’s continual attempts to suppress the voices of Kashmiris through military aggression, economic sanctions or political maneuvering, have failed to quell the demand for freedom and grant of right to self-determination”, Javed Najam-ul-Saqib said. He underlined that the Kashmiri people’s resolve remains unshaken, as they persistently call for the right to determine their own future, a right enshrined in numerous United Nations resolutions and protected under international law.

The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Supreme Court Bar Association President called upon the international community, particularly the global powers and NATO, to take decisive action in holding India accountable for its sinister and unlawful actions. “We urge the United Nations Secretary-General to ensure the implementation of UN resolutions regarding Kashmir.

“It is imperative that the world powers, claiming to be the champions of democracy and human rights, should stand by their commitments and act to address the plight of the Kashmiri people”, he, said.

Since the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, IIOJK has been transformed into the world’s largest open-air prison. Communications have been severed, internet access blocked, and millions of troops deployed to suppress the voice of the Kashmiri people. Additionally, the demographic engineering through the settlement of over 4.5 million non-Kashmiris in the region is a blatant attempt to alter the region’s demographic identity, he underlined.
