AJK to commemorate 18th death anniversary of BB tomorrow – Dec. 27 with due solemnity, reverence

MIRPUR ( AJK): , Dec 26: In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the activists and the supporters of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK Chapter, will observe 18th death anniversary of former prime minister of Pakistan and PPP leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto with due solemnity and reverence on Saturday -Dec. 27.

It will be gazetted holiday across Azad Jammu Kashmir on Saturday to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Bhutto famously emerged with the title of daughter of the East.

In lake city of Mirpur, special ceremonies were held to observe the anniversary of late BB was held under the auspices of PPP Azad Jammu Kashmir central leader Moeez Majeed Chaudhry at 11.00 am at PWD Rest House lawn here on Saturday, party sources including organisers of the scheduled special ceremonies to observe the death anniversary told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Friday.

Two minute silence will be observed in reverence to Benazir Bhutto and to pay rich homage to her for her meritorious life time services for the nation and the country.

In special congregations to be held to commemorate the death anniversary of BB, speakers will pay tributes to the martyred top PPP leader and daughter of ex PM and founder head of PPP late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. for her meritorious service for the nation and most particularly for giving the supreme sacrifice of her life for maintaining the national unity, solidarity and cohesion among the people of all the four provinces of the country as well as AJK besides for the promotion of democracy and maintaining democratic norms and values in the country.

Besides the leadership of incumbent PPP led AJK government, activists of PPP, Peoples Youth Organization (PYO) and People Students Federation (PSF) from various parts of AJK, will, earlier, leave for Garhi Khuda Buksh to participate in the marathon congregation scheduled to be held to observe the anniversary of shaheed BB at her mausoleum to express ideological solidarity, sentiments and admirations with their supreme great leader.

Quran Khawani will be held at all major cities and towns across the AJK for the departed soul of Shaheed BB in the special ceremonies to be hosted to observe the martyrdom anniversary of the world-fame leader of Pakistan. Senior leaders of PPP including members of AJK legislative assembly and AJK Council belonging to the PPP AJK Chapter, office bearers of the party from the respective districts and the followers of Bhuttos including the citizens representing various classes of the society are scheduled to attend the special ceremonies.

Special gatherings of the workers and supporters of PPP AJK will be managed at all district and tehsil headquarters across Azad Jammu Kashmir to commemorate the death anniversary of BB with rich tributes to be paid to late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his late daughter and the party’s martyred chairperson Benazir Bhutto coupled with the renewal of the pledge to continue the mission of departed leaders of the party including BB and ZAB.
