MIRPUR ( AJK): March 23: – The institute of Dialogue, Development & Diplomatic Studies – IDDDs Youth Initiative, managed a historic Bike Rally from Upper Adda to Nilochi Bridge in the State metropolis late Saturday marking a milestone of commitment and dedication to the ideals of Pakistan, organizers said.
The rally was organised under the leadership of the convener- Youth Initiative IDDDS team aimed at to reaffirm their commitment to this cause and vow to continue efforts in raising awareness and mobilizing the younger generation to uphold the ideals of Pakistan.
“The rally was a tribute to the unwavering struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan and reaffirmed the unbreakable bond between Pakistan and Kashmir.
March 23, 1940, holds immense significance in the history of Pakistan, as it was the day when the All-India Muslim League, under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, passed the historic Lahore Resolution. The historical resolution laid the foundation for the creation of an independent and sovereign state for Muslims, free from the clutches of British colonial rule and Hindu domination in the subcontinent”, the organizers told APP on Sunday.
The rally served as a powerful reminder that Pakistan and Kashmir share a common destiny. The letter “K” in Pakistan stands for Kashmir, highlighting its integral connection with the nation. Pakistan has made immense sacrifices to liberate Kashmir from Indian occupation, and the struggle continues. The youth participating in the rally reaffirmed their commitment to this cause, vowing to uphold the legacy of their elders who sacrificed for Pakistan’s independence and sovereignty.
The rally, which passed through key locations including Upper Adda and Nilochi Bridge before culminating at the Press Club the, was an expression of solidarity with the defenders of Pakistan. The participants paid tribute to the armed forces and security personnel who continue to fight against terrorism and hybrid warfare, countering enemies who seek to destabilize the country.
During the event, young participants emphasized their readiness to carry forward the struggle for freedom and justice. They declared that the fight for a better future, for the rights of Muslims in the region, and for a Pakistan where voices are heard and respected, will continue with unwavering resolve.
On this historic day, we remember and salute the sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan. The struggle for independence was not just about achieving a separate homeland; it was about ensuring absolute freedom, dignity, and sovereignty for Muslims. Today, as Pakistanis and Kashmiris stand together, their fate remains intertwined in their pursuit of justice and self-determination.
