Doha, Qatar | 12 October 2025: This week marks the grand opening of Big 5 Construct Qatar, the largest construction event in the country and INDEX Design Qatar, the country’s leading design and fit-out event,  Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from 14 – 16 October 2025, uniting the entire construction, interiors and fit-out ecosystem under one roof for three days.

Taking place under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the co-located events align with Qatar’s national development priorities, supporting construction growth, economic diversification strategy and the country’s long-term ambitions outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.

Supporting the growth of Qatar’s built environment

 Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar will support the push for the next phase of growth, connecting the construction, interiors and fit-out sectors to support the future of the country’s construction sector.

Commenting on the exhibition this year, Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President, dmg events said: “As Big 5 Construct Qatar and INDEX Design Qatar open this week, we’re bringing together the construction and design community to explore new opportunities, exchange expertise and strengthen industry connections.  Together, the events will welcome over 150 exhibitors from more than 25 countries, featuring the latest advancements across the built environment value chain, from building materials, MEP systems and project management technologies to interior solutions, furniture, lighting and décor.

Key exhibitors at Big 5 Construct Qatar include Qatar Development Bank (QDB), supporting SME growth; Qatar National Bank (QNB), Bitumat – Mapei, National Paints Factories, Al Hattab Holdings, Interflex Plastik, Embossal Steel Mills, Al Mana Motors, HP Industries and Labaragah.

INDEX Design Qatar will feature specialized exhibitors including Ansar Gallery, Bayt Al Ansari, IKEA, Decotech, Retro Style for Décor & Furniture and Marble World Qatar.

Strategic networking and business opportunities

A key feature of this year’s edition is the Hosted Buyer Programme, organized in partnership with Qatar Tourism, which connects senior procurement professionals from eight key markets, including Egypt, Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the United Kingdom, directly with exhibitors. This curated matchmaking initiative is designed to facilitate new trade opportunities and strengthen commercial relationships across international design supply chains.

The exhibition expects to see over 10,000 trade visitors, including contractors, consultants, architects, project owners, fit-out specialists and distributors, all seeking sourcing opportunities, collaborations and market insights.

Expert-led talks and knowledge exchange

Complementing activities on the exhibition floor, Big 5 Talks and INDEX Design Talks will feature more than 35 CPD-certified sessions led by industry experts and thought leaders. Covering sustainability, digital construction, project management, modular construction, interiors innovation and design trends, the sessions offer actionable insights into the sector’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Leading associations, including the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), American Concrete Institute (ACI), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter, will also host panels and knowledge sessions, giving professionals opportunities to engage, collaborate and share expertise.

Championing sustainability and innovation

With sustainability high on the agenda, exhibitors will present eco-friendly materials, modular systems, digital solutions and energy-efficient technologies that support Qatar’s environmental objectives. Enbat Holdings, the event’s Sustainable Partner, will be joined by companies such as Al Bayan WPC, QPlastics Factory and Alazizya Chemicals Factory, each showcasing locally manufactured products built on recycled content, energy reduction or cleaner production methods.
