The first batch of emergency humanitarian aid provided by the Chinese government arrived in Cambodia on Sunday, marking a timely response to the country’s immediate relief needs. The supplies were delivered to Techo International Airport in Phnom Penh, according to official sources.
The humanitarian assistance includes essential relief items such as tents, blankets, and food supplies, aimed at supporting affected communities and strengthening emergency response efforts.
A formal handover ceremony was held at the airport and attended by Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin and Cambodian Foreign Ministry Secretary of State Ung Rachana. Officials from both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
The delivery reflects China’s ongoing engagement with Cambodia in disaster relief and emergency support, highlighting bilateral cooperation during times of need. Authorities said further assistance may follow as conditions are assessed and relief coordination continues.
